Dr. Triplett knew from his teenage years at the orthodontist that he wanted to become a dentist and has never looked back.
After receiving his BA in Business Administration in 1981, he attended the prestigious California Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, obtaining his DDS in June of 1985.
His first private practice was in Chico, California. After 9 years there, he and his wife, Terri, decided to move their family to the lovely rural Pacific Northwest. He has been on Orcas Island since 1995 in private practice.
Always determined to stay with cutting edge dentistry, he has taken advanced training in endodontics (root canal therapy) with Dr. Buchannon and extensive orthodontic training (braces and removable orthodontic appliances) with Dr. Derek Mahoney, in addition to continuing education in general dentistry.
Dr. Triplett's philosophy of dentistry includes treating the whole person, not just the teeth. He takes into consideration general health, the face, TMJ function and the personal situation of each patient. He has been known to say 'I never have to go to work, because dentistry is what I do for fun! Improving smiles, function, comfort and general health for people is very gratifying.'
